We look forward to welcoming you at Alpasion Restaurant and indulging both your palate and your senses with our wonderful cuisine and beautiful setting.

Alpasión Restaurant

The food at Alpasión Lodge has always been a highlight and one of the many reasons to come back amongst guests and visitors. Our intimate restaurant is located next to the lodge and offers scrumptious lunch and dinner to guests staying with us at Alpasión, visitors to the area who are looking for a special place to enjoy a meal and locals wanting to get away for an afternoon or evening.

Alpasión Restaurant opened its doors in December 2015 and we currently serve a four course menu of traditional Argentine cuisine with a gourmet touch. We are open for lunch and dinner 7days a week.

Our restaurant seats up to 25 people in a cozy and intimate setting overlooking the Andes. On beautiful, warm days you are welcome to enjoy the outside lounge area and on cooler nights we invite you to move inside and warm up next to the fire.

The cooking techniques used in our restaurant focus on fire: BBQ or “Parrilla” clay oven and cast iron casseroles over wood. Our vegetables and herbs come from our own garden and the rest of our ingredients are sourced locally. Of course, all of our dishes pair perfectly with our own wines.

Alpasión Food Truck

Alpasion Food truck opened its doors on February 2024 in response to a perceived opportunity and demand. There was a noticeable lack of options in the area for a quick snack, with most establishments offering fixed menus comprising at least three courses. Our Foodtruck caters to winemakers, agronomists, joggers, cyclists, and tourists seeking a swift bite and refreshment between winery visits.

Despite operating from a food truck, we maintain high standards of quality and presentation, challenging conventional notions of street and gourmet food.

Our menu features Empanadas homemade dough and never frozen!

Apart from the traditional meat and chicken empanadas we offer alternative stuffing such as wild mushrooms and cheese, spinach & ricotta, ham & cheese, roasted chicken stew or, one of our favorites: “escabeche de chivo” (pickled and slowly cooked goat)… some flavors are seasonal such as trout or salmon stew, and humitas (corn stew).

All our empanadas are served with special sauces created to pair with each empanada, as traditional chimichurri, creole sauce, walnuts creole sauce, roasted charred squash sauce, mojo (thick herbs pesto), romescu… among others.

Choripanes and other sandwiches are made from scratch as well, starting from natural fermentation of our doughs from one to three days, depending on the different type of bread.

And of course, meat, chicken, or eggplant milanesas served on homemade ciabatta, “tortitas” mendocinas, a traditional flatbread filled with eggplant or goat escabeche—a nod to Valle de Uco gastronomy. Handmade pastries, including alfajores, media lunas, croissants, and cookies, complement our offerings, perfect for pairing with freshly brewed coffee, mate, tea, or cold-pressed juices. Naturally, our selection is curated to harmonize with our wines, while also showcasing local artisan beers and pure water sourced from the Andean mountains.
