With everything from our services to practical travel advice on currency and tipping to convenient services like car rentals and airport transfers, we aim to make your stay effortless.

Money:
In rural areas outside the city, credit card acceptance may be limited. While some establishments accept US Dollars, it’s advisable to carry enough cash or withdraw money from an ATM upon arrival at the airport. Credit cards are generally accepted at larger wineries, restaurants, and shops in the city, but it’s best to confirm in advance. Exchange rates fluctuate daily.
Tipping:
Tipping is typically not included in bills. In restaurants, a 10% tip is customary, and cash tips are preferred. While tipping is not required at the lodge, it is appreciated.
Language:
Spanish is the official language.
Currency:
The Argentinean Peso is the local currency.
Climate:
Mendoza has a dry and arid climate with significant temperature variations. Summers can exceed 25°C, while winters can average around -8°C. Seasons are as follows:
Voltage:
The electrical system operates on 220V. Please ensure your devices are compatible.
Time Zone:
Mendoza is in the GMT-3 time zone.
At Alpasion, we take pride in offering a culinary experience that highlights the best local produce, much of which comes from our garden and nearby small producers. Our menus change with the seasons to reflect the freshest ingredients available, embracing the flavors of Mendocine mountain cuisine.
Breakfast
Available from 8-11 am, breakfast is included in your stay. It features a selection of fresh homemade pastries, fruit salad, fresh fruit juice, and eggs. All breads and pastries are baked daily, and yogurt, almond milk, and jams are made on site. Early morning coffee can be arranged upon request.
Lunch & Dinner
Lunch and dinner are available for an additional charge, with lunch served from 12:30 – 3:30 pm and dinner from 8 – 11 pm. Meals can be enjoyed at the lodge or in our restaurant.
Special Dietary Requests:
We are happy to accommodate dietary requirements or preferences. Please inform us upon arrival if you have not done so in advance.

Beverages:
We offer an extensive selection of beverages to complement your dining experience. We hope you will enjoy our Alpasion wines, carefully curated to reflect the best of the region. Additionally, we are pleased to offer a variety of other beverages, including scotch, rum, whiskey, liqueurs, beer, and soft drinks.
Prices and a wine list are available from our staff upon request.
Laundry and Dry Cleaning:
A 12-hour laundry service and limited dry cleaning services are available. Laundry dropped off by 9 am is typically returned by dinnertime. Please check with the Lodge Manager for pricing.
Car Rental:
For those wishing to rent a car during their stay, arrangements can be made to have a vehicle delivered to the lodge. Prices vary depending on the rental duration and vehicle model.
Car and Driver:
A car and driver can be arranged on an hourly or daily basis, allowing you to explore Mendoza Wine Country at your own pace. Please inquire for details and pricing.
Airport Pickup and Transfer:
Transportation from Mendoza Airport to the lodge can be arranged, with the journey taking approximately 1.5 hours. Advance notice of 24 hours is appreciated for this service. The cost is approximately US$100, though prices are subject to change.
If your travel plans include a late arrival or early departure, consider spending your first or last night in Mendoza City, where there are a variety of hotels and dining options.
